Marcus graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1994. He entered General Practice in 1996 where he quickly developed an interest in dermatology and skin cancer management. He has worked at North Shore Hospital for 6 years providing Dermatology and Skin Cancer services and completed the Diploma in Dermatology from the UK in 1999. Marcus also works at the Skin Institute in a multidisciplinary team of doctors and surgeons providing complete dermatological, surgical and cosmetic services. He predominantly consults in the dermatological arena at Silverdale Medical although retains an interest in general practice.
Marcus and the team of paramedical services providers built Silverdale Medical in 2000 to provide a one stop shop of primary care and specialist services for the people of Silverdale and the Hibiscus Coast area. He is married to Sarah; they have 4 children and live locally. While medicine and his family occupy the majority of his time he also has an interest in sport particularly watersports and teamsports.
