Dr Alison Sorley

Alison has been a GP on the North Shore and Rodney since 1992 and has a wide variety of medical and personal experience. She enjoys providing medical care to patients of all ages. She has always had a special interest in Women’s Health, has previously worked at Family Planning Clinic, spent many years delivering babies and has postgraduate qualifications in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Family Planning. She is able to provide a full and comprehensive Women’s Health Service including Mirena IUCDs, Jardelle implants, Pipelle biopsies.
Alison has also undergone training in Sports Medicine based at the millennium Institute of Sport and Health. Together with Dr Warren Groarke, Alison is available for specialist Sports Medicine consultations and General Practice care for anyone who enjoys sport at a professional or recreational level.
Alison has additional expertise and training in Occupational Medicine and is a contracted Medical Assessor for ACC. She is proficient at minor surgery and joins her colleagues at Silverdale medical in providing a full Skin Surgery service.
In her spare time, Alison enjoys keeping active with her family, skiing, boating, horse riding and playing violin and piano.
