Rob has wide experience in general practice and urgent care medicine. He grew up in Auckland and graduated from Auckland Medical School. After hospital experience Rob became a medical officer in the RNZAF and was based at Whenuapai before setting up in general practice in his hometown. In the 1990s Rob and his family moved to Hawera, Taranaki to experience life in rural small town New Zealand. In recent years Rob has worked in Australia in both remote outback hospitals as well as city emergency departments.

He is passionate about nutrition as the best way to promote optimal health and longevity as well as reversal of chronic diseases and maximising athletic performance.

Rob lives with his wife Pippa on a lifestyle property handy to Silverdale. They have four grown-up children.
